Registered bed nights increased 40 percent

In September 2021, 2,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Sjöbo (+40.4 %), of which 2,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 560 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 33 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 86 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 40 percent from last year's September.

440 rooms (+53.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 580 rooms (+58.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 24,000 registered bed nights (+22.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,400 (+59.9 %) for foreigners in Sjöbo, in total 26,400 (+24.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sjöbo out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

1,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 48 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.4 percent were domestic, and 10.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sjöbo on average 1.6 nights (-0.15) and foreigners 3.2 nights (+0.21).
