Sjöbo: Tourism in a nutshell

Registered bed nights increased 11 percent
In August 2022, 7,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Sjöbo (+10.5 %), of which 5,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 86 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 11 percent from last year's August.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (510 nights).
870 rooms (-11.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 360 rooms (+18.4 %) by business visitors.
Between January and August, 31,000 registered bed nights (+43.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,200 (+76.0 %) for foreigners in Sjöbo, in total 34,100 (+45.5 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

3,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 31 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.8 percent were domestic, and 13.2 percent were from foreign countries.
During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sjöbo on average 2.1 nights (-0.51) and foreigners 2.5 nights (+0.44).
