Skåne County: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased 54 percent
In May 2022, 618,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Skåne County (+54.4 %), of which 510,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 108,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 39 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 220 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 54 percent from last year's May.
154,000 rooms (+80.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 149,000 rooms (+142.5 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 1.5 million registered bed nights (+46.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 337,000 (+172.5 %) for foreigners in Skåne County, in total 1.8 million (+60.4 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 78 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 83.2 percent were domestic, and 16.8 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Skåne County on average 1.9 nights (-0.25) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-1.2).

Registered January-May sales were 1.1 billion SEK and they increased 679.0 million SEK from the previous year.
