Registered bed nights increased 124 percent

In April 2021, 3,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Skara (+124.3 %), of which 3,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 101 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 127 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 51 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 124 percent from last year's April.

1,300 rooms (+198.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,200 rooms (+55.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 8,600 registered bed nights (-35.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 270 (-11.7 %) for foreigners in Skara, in total 8,800 (-34.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+90.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Skara out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

2,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 199 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.7 percent were domestic, and 1.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Skara on average 1.6 nights (-0.52) and foreigners 3.5 nights (-2.1).
