Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 91 percent

In February 2023, 4,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Skara (+91.0 %), of which 4,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 185 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 75 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 91 percent from last year's February.

820 rooms (+30.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,200 rooms (+119.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 7,400 registered bed nights (+225.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 670 (-49.3 %) for foreigners in Skara, in total 8,000 (+124.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.5 million registered bed nights (+20.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+17.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 756,000 nights (+32.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Skara out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay increased 11 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 11 percent compared to earlier year. In Skara, length of stay in February was on average 1.6 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-5.0 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Skara on average 1.5 nights (+14.5 %) and foreigners 2.6 nights (+21.1 %).

2,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 73 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.2 percent were domestic, and 2.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Skara on average 1.5 nights (+0.28) and foreigners 2.6 nights (+0.8).
