Registered bed nights increased 55 percent
In January 2022, 1,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Skara (+54.8 %), of which 830 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 510 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 1,500 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 55 percent from last year's January.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (240 nights).
380 rooms (+34.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 620 rooms (+122.9 %) by business visitors.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

880 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 112 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 65.3 percent were domestic, and 34.7 percent were from foreign countries.
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Skara on average 1.4 nights (-0.66) and foreigners 1.7 nights (+0.11).
