Registered bed nights increased 62 percent

In September 2021, 7,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Skara (+62.4 %), of which 6,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 38 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 1,200 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 62 percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (510 nights).

1,200 rooms (-28.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,500 rooms (+245.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 85,300 registered bed nights (+129.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,600 (+348.6 %) for foreigners in Skara, in total 88,900 (+134.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Skara out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

5,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 121 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 81.8 percent were domestic, and 18.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Skara on average 1.4 nights (-0.48) and foreigners 1.3 nights (-0.59).
