Registered bed nights increased 11 percent
In March 2019, 4,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Skara (+10.7 %), of which 4,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 188 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased eight percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 100 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 11 percent from last year's March.
1,300 rooms (+27.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,700 rooms (-1.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and March, 12,000 registered bed nights (+12.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 390 (+165.5 %) for foreigners in Skara, in total 12,300 (+14.3 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased one percent compared to earlier year. In Skara, length of stay in March was on average 1.5 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-4.6 %).
