Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 10 percent

In September 2019, 7,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Skara (+10.1 %), of which 6,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 510 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased seven percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 93 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 10 percent from last year's September.

2,000 rooms (+33.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,500 rooms (+7.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 126,000 registered bed nights (-8.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 21,600 (+172.4 %) for foreigners in Skara, in total 147,000 (+1.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.5 million registered bed nights (+2.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+3.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights (-1.1 %) by foreigners.

Length of stay increased four percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased four percent compared to earlier year. In Skara, length of stay in September was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-1.3 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Skara on average 1.7 nights (-16.8 %) and foreigners 2.3 nights (+66.5 %).

4,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased six percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.5 percent were domestic, and 5.5 percent were from foreign countries.
