Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 35 percent

In October 2021, 6,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Skara (+35.2 %), of which 5,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 1,500 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 35 percent from last year's October.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (1,100 nights).

1,800 rooms (+1.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,800 rooms (+163.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 90,300 registered bed nights (+114.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,500 (+492.8 %) for foreigners in Skara, in total 95,800 (+122.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.9 million registered bed nights (+25.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.2 million nights (+19.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 708,000 nights (+57.4 %) by foreigners.

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased less than one percent compared to earlier year. In Skara, length of stay in October was on average 1.9 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-4.6 %).

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Skara on average 1.9 nights (+37.8 %) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-20.5 %).
