Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 140 percent

In December 2021, 3,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Skara (+139.8 %), of which 2,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 108 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 420 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 140 percent from last year's December.

1,000 rooms (+101.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,500 rooms (+233.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 97,000 registered bed nights (+115.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 7,700 (+605.9 %) for foreigners in Skara, in total 105,000 (+127.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Skara out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 1.1 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 57 percent compared to earlier year. In Skara, length of stay in December was on average 1.1 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (-24.9 %).

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Skara on average 1.2 nights (+23.6 %) and foreigners 1.1 nights (-49.4 %).

2,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 460 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 77.2 percent were domestic, and 22.8 percent were from foreign countries.
