Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 114 percent

In April 2022, 7,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Skara (+114.3 %), of which 5,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 63 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 1,900 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 114 percent from last year's April.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (960 nights).

2,300 rooms (+95.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,100 rooms (+120.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 11,900 registered bed nights (+38.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,600 (+1,602.2 %) for foreigners in Skara, in total 16,500 (+86.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.2 million registered bed nights (+64.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+46.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 791,000 nights (+260.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Skara out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay was 1.5 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 18 percent compared to earlier year. In Skara, length of stay in April was on average 1.5 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-23.8 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Skara on average 1.5 nights (-9.0 %) and foreigners 1.4 nights (-41.7 %).

5,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 162 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 73.7 percent were domestic, and 26.3 percent were from foreign countries.
