Registered bed nights increased nine percent

In September 2021, 5,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Skinnskatteberg (+8.6 %), of which 4,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 144 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased six percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 500 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased nine percent from last year's September.

800 rooms (+25.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 630 rooms (+63.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 46,500 registered bed nights (-2.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 890 (+129.8 %) for foreigners in Skinnskatteberg, in total 47,400 (-1.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Skinnskatteberg out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

2,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 14 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.1 percent were domestic, and 1.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Skinnskatteberg on average 1.8 nights (-0.11) and foreigners 2.7 nights (+0.87).
