Registered bed nights increased 34 percent

In April 2021, 4,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Skinnskatteberg (+33.8 %), of which 4,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 20 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 33 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 570 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 34 percent from last year's April.

780 rooms (+295.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 152 rooms (+53.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 11,500 registered bed nights (-14.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 53 (+6.0 %) for foreigners in Skinnskatteberg, in total 11,600 (-14.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+90.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Skinnskatteberg out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

2,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 60 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.7 percent were domestic, and 0.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Skinnskatteberg on average 2.0 nights (-0.38) and foreigners 3.3 nights (+0.33).
