Registered bed nights increased four percent

In May 2022, 5,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Skinnskatteberg (+3.5 %), of which 5,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 120 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 19 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased four percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United Kingdom (83 nights).

1,000 rooms (-3.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 940 rooms (+331.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 19,500 registered bed nights (+15.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 260 (+70.1 %) for foreigners in Skinnskatteberg, in total 19,800 (+15.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Skinnskatteberg out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 18 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.6 percent were domestic, and 1.4 percent were from foreign countries.
