Skövde: Tourism in a nutshell

15,600 registered bed nights
In September 2022, 15,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Skövde (-13.5 %), of which 13,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 15 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased five percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 14 percent from last year's September.
2,900 rooms (-46.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 7,400 rooms (+6.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and September, 129,000 registered bed nights (+4.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 18,900 (+20.6 %) for foreigners in Skövde, in total 148,000 (+6.4 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased seven percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.9 percent were domestic, and 8.1 percent were from foreign countries.
During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Skövde on average 1.9 nights (-0.15) and foreigners 2.7 nights (-0.04).
