Paid bed nights

5,600 registered bed nights

In April 2020, 5,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Skövde (-67.4 %), of which 4,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 850 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 69 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 49 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 67 percent from last year's April.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Poland (126 nights).

1,100 rooms (-76.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,900 rooms (-55.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 36,000 registered bed nights (-36.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,500 (-18.4 %) for foreigners in Skövde, in total 41,400 (-34.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 1.3 million registered bed nights (-70.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.1 million nights (-65.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 114,000 nights (-88.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Skövde out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.7 %.

Length of stay increased 58 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 58 percent compared to earlier year. In Skövde, length of stay in April was on average 2.3 nights and in Sweden 2.5 nights (+16.7 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Skövde on average 2.2 nights (+1.4 %) and foreigners 3.7 nights (+10.6 %).

2,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 79 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 90.4 percent were domestic, and 9.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Skövde on average 2.2 nights (+0.75) and foreigners 3.7 nights (+1.7).
