Registered bed nights increased 55 percent
In December 2021, 3,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Söderhamn (+54.6 %), of which 2,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 43 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 230 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 55 percent from last year's December.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Russia (67 nights).
900 rooms (+102.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 800 rooms (+47.7 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 125,000 registered bed nights (+23.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 9,700 (+125.1 %) for foreigners in Söderhamn, in total 135,000 (+27.5 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 94 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 81.7 percent were domestic, and 18.3 percent were from foreign countries.
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Söderhamn on average 1.8 nights (-0.41) and foreigners 1.2 nights (-0.21).
