Paid bed nights

32,000 registered bed nights

In July 2020, 32,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Söderhamn (-6.0 %), of which 31,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 10 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 88 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased six percent from last year's July.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (290 nights).

660 rooms (+15.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 280 rooms (-38.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and July, 64,900 registered bed nights (+11.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,800 (-73.2 %) for foreigners in Söderhamn, in total 67,700 (-1.3 %) registered nights.

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased six percent compared to earlier year. In Söderhamn, length of stay in July was on average 3.1 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-0.2 %).

During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Söderhamn on average 3.0 nights (+38.6 %) and foreigners 5.6 nights (+382.0 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 11 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.8 percent were domestic, and 1.2 percent were from foreign countries.
