Registered bed nights increased 26 percent

In September 2021, 6,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Söderköping (+26.4 %), of which 5,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 780 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 21 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 94 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 26 percent from last year's September.

1,500 rooms (+252.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 330 rooms (+61.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 95,200 registered bed nights (+7.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 9,600 (+272.5 %) for foreigners in Söderköping, in total 105,000 (+15.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Söderköping out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

4,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 51 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.6 percent were domestic, and 10.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Söderköping on average 1.6 nights (-0.32) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-0.36).
