Söderköping: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased 11 percent
In May 2022, 12,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Söderköping (+11.3 %), of which 11,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 830 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased six percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 340 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 11 percent from last year's May.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (430 nights).
1,500 rooms (+120.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,400 rooms (+328.6 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 17,700 registered bed nights (+35.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,200 (+254.7 %) for foreigners in Söderköping, in total 18,900 (+41.3 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 63 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.0 percent were domestic, and 6.0 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Söderköping on average 1.6 nights (-0.77) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-0.98).
