Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased nine percent

In September 2020, 5,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Söderköping (+8.7 %), of which 4,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 16 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 38 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased nine percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (240 nights).

420 rooms (-46.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 200 rooms (-59.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 88,400 registered bed nights (+3.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,600 (-85.7 %) for foreigners in Söderköping, in total 91,000 (-12.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-20.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 436,000 nights (-62.3 %) by foreigners.

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 30 percent compared to earlier year. In Söderköping, length of stay in September was on average 2.2 nights and in Sweden 2.0 nights (+4.9 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Söderköping on average 2.2 nights (+11.0 %) and foreigners 2.5 nights (+8.3 %).

2,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 16 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.0 percent were domestic, and 7.0 percent were from foreign countries.
