Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 51 percent

In April 2021, 41,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Södermanland County (+50.6 %), of which 39,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 53 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 18 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 51 percent from last year's April.

11,300 rooms (+139.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 9,800 rooms (+36.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 115,000 registered bed nights (-25.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 13,500 (-19.2 %) for foreigners in Södermanland County, in total 129,000 (-24.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 219,000 nights (+91.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Södermanland County out of total registered bed nights was 1.6 % (-0.6 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.7 % and foreign bed nights 1.1 %.

Length of stay was 1.7 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 25 percent compared to earlier year. In Södermanland County, length of stay in April was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 2.5 nights (+1.3 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Södermanland County on average 1.7 nights (-3.3 %) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-16.5 %).

25,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 102 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.9 percent were domestic, and 5.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Södermanland County on average 1.7 nights (-0.57) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-0.45).
