Registered bed nights increased 31 percent
In May 2021, 79,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Södermanland County (+31.2 %), of which 73,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 30 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 45 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 31 percent from last year's May.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (600 nights).
Between January and May, 188,000 registered bed nights (-10.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 19,400 (-6.2 %) for foreigners in Södermanland County, in total 208,000 (-10.2 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
