14,600 registered bed nights

In June 2020, 14,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Södertälje (-58.0 %), of which 13,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 44 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 87 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 58 percent from last year's June.

2,300 rooms (-69.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,600 rooms (-51.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 64,600 registered bed nights (-38.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 12,600 (-65.5 %) for foreigners in Södertälje, in total 77,300 (-45.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.7 million registered bed nights (-48.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (-32.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 257,000 nights (-87.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Södertälje out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

6,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 66 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.7 percent were domestic, and 7.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Södertälje on average 2.4 nights (+0.44) and foreigners 3.2 nights (+1.1).
