10,500 registered bed nights

In March 2020, 10,500 bed nights were recorded in Södertälje (-45.2 %), of which 8,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,000 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 41 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 58 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 45 percent from last year's March.

2,100 rooms (-54.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,200 rooms (-42.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 37,300 bed nights (-5.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 9,200 (-29.4 %) for foreigners in Södertälje, in total 46,500 (-11.6 %) nights.

Total of 2.8 million bed nights (-37.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.4 million nights (-33.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 405,000 nights (-54.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Södertälje out of total bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

5,100 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 52 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 86.3 percent were domestic, and 13.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Södertälje on average 2.0 nights (+0.22) and foreigners 2.8 nights (+0.77).
