Registered bed nights increased 62 percent
In December 2021, 14,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Södertälje (+62.4 %), of which 11,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 57 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 89 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 62 percent from last year's December.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (690 nights).
3,600 rooms (+83.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,600 rooms (+49.9 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 175,000 registered bed nights (+20.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 36,300 (+37.9 %) for foreigners in Södertälje, in total 211,000 (+23.4 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
