Registered bed nights increased 71 percent

In April 2021, 10,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Södertälje (+71.5 %), of which 8,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 64 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 119 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 71 percent from last year's April.

2,100 rooms (+90.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,600 rooms (+71.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 35,300 registered bed nights (-17.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 7,400 (-26.1 %) for foreigners in Södertälje, in total 42,700 (-19.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.4 percent

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+90.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Södertälje out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.8 %.

4,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 100 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 90.9 percent were domestic, and 9.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Södertälje on average 2.0 nights (-0.45) and foreigners 4.0 nights (+0.51).
