Registered bed nights increased 24 percent

In September 2021, 19,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Södertälje (+24.3 %), of which 15,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 24 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 27 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 24 percent from last year's September.

4,800 rooms (+49.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 7,700 rooms (+13.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 129,000 registered bed nights (+11.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 27,300 (+38.8 %) for foreigners in Södertälje, in total 156,000 (+15.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Södertälje out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

10,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 30 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 85.1 percent were domestic, and 14.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Södertälje on average 1.8 nights (-0.04) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-0.5).
