Registered bed nights increased eight percent
In February 2020, 19,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Södertälje (+7.7 %), of which 15,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 13 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased eight percent. In total, registered bed nights increased eight percent from last year's February.
3,300 rooms (+0.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 8,700 rooms (+18.5 %) by business visitors.
Between January and February, 28,800 registered bed nights (+14.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 7,200 (-13.4 %) for foreigners in Södertälje, in total 36,000 (+7.5 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased four percent compared to earlier year. In Södertälje, length of stay in February was on average 2.1 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-3.1 %).
During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Södertälje on average 2.0 nights (-3.3 %) and foreigners 2.7 nights (+8.3 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 12 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 83.4 percent were domestic, and 16.6 percent were from foreign countries.
