Sognefjord: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased 101 percent
In February 2022, 14,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Sognefjord (+100.8 %), of which 11,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 102 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 96 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 101 percent from last year's February.
2,800 nights (+638.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 5,900 nights (+66.9 %) by business visitors.
Between January and February, 18,300 registered bed nights (+75.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,000 (+39.1 %) for foreigners in Sognefjord, in total 23,200 (+66.1 %) registered nights.

5,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 185 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 82.2 percent were domestic, and 17.8 percent were from foreign countries.
During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sognefjord on average 2.5 nights (-0.67) and foreigners 3.4 nights (-6.9).

Registered accommodation sales in February were 6.4 million crowns (+3.7 million).
Registered January-February sales were 10.5 million crowns and they increased 5.3 million euro from the previous year.
