Registered bed nights increased 22 percent

In May 2022, 11,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Sollefteå (+21.6 %), of which 11,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 810 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 18 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 91 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 22 percent from last year's May.

1,500 rooms (+13.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,100 rooms (+52.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 41,500 registered bed nights (+45.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,000 (+141.5 %) for foreigners in Sollefteå, in total 44,400 (+49.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sollefteå out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

6,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 40 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.2 percent were domestic, and 5.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sollefteå on average 1.9 nights (-0.3) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-0.41).
