Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 13 percent

In February 2020, 8,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Sollefteå (+12.5 %), of which 7,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 530 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 15 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 15 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 13 percent from last year's February.

1,500 rooms (+12.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,100 rooms (-11.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 13,600 registered bed nights (+7.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 980 (+22.3 %) for foreigners in Sollefteå, in total 14,600 (+8.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.4 million registered bed nights (+3.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.5 million nights (+5.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 935,000 nights (-2.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sollefteå out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased one percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased one percent compared to earlier year. In Sollefteå, length of stay in February was on average 2.2 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-3.1 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sollefteå on average 2.2 nights (+11.9 %) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-77.8 %).

3,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 11 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.2 percent were domestic, and 6.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sollefteå on average 2.2 nights (+0.19) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-8.6).
