Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 12 percent

In March 2021, 5,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Sollefteå (+12.4 %), of which 5,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 220 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 14 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 13 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 12 percent from last year's March.

1,400 rooms (+57.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,200 rooms (-8.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 14,500 registered bed nights (-21.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 610 (-50.7 %) for foreigners in Sollefteå, in total 15,100 (-23.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+2.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+11.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (-46.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sollefteå out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 2.0 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 20 percent compared to earlier year. In Sollefteå, length of stay in March was on average 2.0 nights and in Sweden 3.2 nights (+21.8 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sollefteå on average 2.0 nights (-14.6 %) and foreigners 2.4 nights (+40.6 %).

2,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 41 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.8 percent were domestic, and 3.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sollefteå on average 2.0 nights (-0.61) and foreigners 2.4 nights (+0.83).
