Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 42 percent

In August 2021, 21,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Sollefteå (+42.2 %), of which 18,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 27 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 460 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 42 percent from last year's August.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (990 nights).

3,000 rooms (+76.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,200 rooms (+17.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 90,600 registered bed nights (+19.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 8,600 (+159.7 %) for foreigners in Sollefteå, in total 99,200 (+25.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 8.4 million registered bed nights (+39.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 6.8 million nights (+25.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.6 million nights (+160.6 %) by foreigners.

Length of stay increased one percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased one percent compared to earlier year. In Sollefteå, length of stay in August was on average 2.1 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-3.6 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sollefteå on average 2.1 nights (-2.0 %) and foreigners 2.6 nights (+34.2 %).

10,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 41 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 88.6 percent were domestic, and 11.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sollefteå on average 2.1 nights (-0.06) and foreigners 2.6 nights (+0.74).
