Registered bed nights increased 34 percent

In August 2022, 20,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Sollentuna (+34.5 %), of which 15,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 19 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 112 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 34 percent from last year's August.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (1,000 nights).

3,900 rooms (-3.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 9,100 rooms (+14.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 108,000 registered bed nights (+41.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 34,100 (+172.2 %) for foreigners in Sollentuna, in total 142,000 (+59.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 8.8 million registered bed nights (+5.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 6.5 million nights (-4.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.3 million nights (+44.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sollentuna out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

6,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 29 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 84.9 percent were domestic, and 15.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sollentuna on average 2.8 nights (-0.02) and foreigners 5.5 nights (-0.14).
