Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 20 percent

In August 2019, 29,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Sollentuna (+20.2 %), of which 20,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 8,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 27 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased six percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 20 percent from last year's August.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Japan (1,500 nights).

6,100 rooms (+36.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 10,500 rooms (+28.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 136,000 registered bed nights (+20.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 50,300 (+24.1 %) for foreigners in Sollentuna, in total 187,000 (+21.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 8.9 million registered bed nights (+3.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 6.1 million nights (+4.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.8 million nights (+3.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sollentuna out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay was 2.5 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 14 percent compared to earlier year. In Sollentuna, length of stay in August was on average 2.5 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (+0.4 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sollentuna on average 2.4 nights (-8.4 %) and foreigners 2.7 nights (+7.8 %).

11,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 39 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 73.0 percent were domestic, and 27.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sollentuna on average 2.4 nights (-0.48) and foreigners 2.7 nights (-0.15).
