Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased six percent

In May 2021, 9,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Sollentuna (+5.9 %), of which 8,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 16 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 36 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased six percent from last year's May.

2,700 rooms (+204.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 6,600 rooms (+17.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 39,000 registered bed nights (-24.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,900 (-54.2 %) for foreigners in Sollentuna, in total 44,900 (-30.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.3 million registered bed nights (+46.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.0 million nights (+45.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 291,000 nights (+65.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sollentuna out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

Length of stay was 3.8 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 38 percent compared to earlier year. In Sollentuna, length of stay in May was on average 3.8 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (-5.3 %).

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sollentuna on average 3.6 nights (+13.4 %) and foreigners 6.2 nights (+14.9 %).

2,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 71 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.6 percent were domestic, and 7.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sollentuna on average 3.6 nights (-1.9) and foreigners 6.2 nights (-5.7).
