Registered bed nights increased 84 percent

In April 2021, 23,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Solna (+84.3 %), of which 19,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 144 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 12 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 84 percent from last year's April.

8,200 rooms (+165.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 7,700 rooms (+27.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 67,600 registered bed nights (-32.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 24,400 (-30.9 %) for foreigners in Solna, in total 92,000 (-31.8 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.9 percent

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+90.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Solna out of total registered bed nights was 0.9 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.8 % and foreign bed nights 2.0 %.

9,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 95 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.5 percent were domestic, and 8.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Solna on average 2.2 nights (+0.43) and foreigners 5.2 nights (-6.2).
