Registered bed nights increased 100 percent
In December 2021, 42,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Solna (+100.3 %), of which 33,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 9,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 134 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 29 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 100 percent from last year's December.
13,200 rooms (+102.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 15,500 rooms (+88.1 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 389,000 registered bed nights (+39.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 88,300 (-3.4 %) for foreigners in Solna, in total 478,000 (+28.6 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 210 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 82.3 percent were domestic, and 17.7 percent were from foreign countries.
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Solna on average 1.7 nights (-0.48) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-3.4).
