Registered bed nights increased 194 percent

In May 2022, 75,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Solna (+194.3 %), of which 57,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 17,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 161 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 400 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 194 percent from last year's May.

22,500 rooms (+164.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 32,400 rooms (+269.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 191,000 registered bed nights (+113.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 53,800 (+92.7 %) for foreigners in Solna, in total 245,000 (+108.3 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.4 percent

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Solna out of total registered bed nights was 1.4 % (+0.6 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.3 % and foreign bed nights 1.8 %.

42,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 270 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 80.5 percent were domestic, and 19.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Solna on average 1.7 nights (-0.4) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-1.9).
