33,800 registered bed nights

In September 2020, 33,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Solna (-49.5 %), of which 26,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 7,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 46 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 58 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 50 percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from India (2,200 nights).

10,700 rooms (-37.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 14,000 rooms (-54.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 216,000 registered bed nights (-49.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 69,000 (-63.8 %) for foreigners in Solna, in total 285,000 (-53.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-19.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 441,000 nights (-61.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Solna out of total registered bed nights was 1.1 % (-0.4 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.0 % and foreign bed nights 1.8 %.

15,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 62 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.4 percent were domestic, and 13.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Solna on average 1.9 nights (+0.31) and foreigners 3.7 nights (+1.9).
