52,200 registered bed nights

In December 2019, 52,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Solna (-3.2 %), of which 39,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 12,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased seven percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 26 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased three percent from last year's December.

13,700 rooms (+3.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 20,200 rooms (+1.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 571,000 registered bed nights (+12.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 231,000 (-6.5 %) for foreigners in Solna, in total 801,000 (+6.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.5 million registered bed nights (+0.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+1.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 764,000 nights (-2.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Solna out of total registered bed nights was 1.5 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.5 % and foreign bed nights 1.6 %.

Length of stay was 1.7 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased three percent compared to earlier year. In Solna, length of stay in December was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 2.0 nights (-2.1 %).

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Solna on average 1.6 nights (+0.1 %) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-2.2 %).

30,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased less than one percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 82.0 percent were domestic, and 18.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Solna on average 1.6 nights (+0.05) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-0.38).
