12,700 registered bed nights

In April 2020, 12,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Solna (-77.7 %), of which 7,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 80 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 73 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 78 percent from last year's April.

2,700 rooms (-77.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,400 rooms (-78.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 99,600 registered bed nights (-36.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 35,300 (-46.7 %) for foreigners in Solna, in total 135,000 (-39.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 1.3 million registered bed nights (-70.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.1 million nights (-65.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 114,000 nights (-88.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Solna out of total registered bed nights was 1.0 % (-0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.7 % and foreign bed nights 4.3 %.

Length of stay increased 56 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 56 percent compared to earlier year. In Solna, length of stay in April was on average 2.8 nights and in Sweden 2.5 nights (+16.7 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Solna on average 1.9 nights (-1.8 %) and foreigners 12 nights (+4.3 %).

4,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 86 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 90.9 percent were domestic, and 9.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Solna on average 1.9 nights (+0.34) and foreigners 12 nights (+9.2).
