21,400 registered bed nights

In December 2020, 21,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Solna (-58.9 %), of which 14,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 7,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 64 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 44 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 59 percent from last year's December.

5,800 rooms (-58.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 7,100 rooms (-64.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 280,000 registered bed nights (-50.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 91,400 (-60.4 %) for foreigners in Solna, in total 371,000 (-53.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (-47.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.6 million nights (-40.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 208,000 nights (-72.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Solna out of total registered bed nights was 1.2 % (-0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.9 % and foreign bed nights 3.3 %.

Length of stay increased 77 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 77 percent compared to earlier year. In Solna, length of stay in December was on average 3.1 nights and in Sweden 2.8 nights (+37.5 %).

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Solna on average 2.5 nights (+11.8 %) and foreigners 6.0 nights (+78.1 %).

7,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 77 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 83.4 percent were domestic, and 16.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Solna on average 2.5 nights (+0.87) and foreigners 6.0 nights (+3.7).
