Registered bed nights increased 16 percent

In September 2020, 5,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Sölvesborg (+15.7 %), of which 5,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 189 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 33 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 76 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 16 percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (114 nights).

184 rooms (-1.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 260 rooms (-47.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 138,000 registered bed nights (+10.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,100 (-83.4 %) for foreigners in Sölvesborg, in total 140,000 (+1.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-19.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 441,000 nights (-61.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sölvesborg out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

2,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 38 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.5 percent were domestic, and 4.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sölvesborg on average 2.2 nights (-0.32) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-1.5).
