Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 16 percent

In June 2019, 28,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Sölvesborg (+16.5 %), of which 25,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 18 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased six percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 16 percent from last year's June.

770 rooms (+86.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 480 rooms (+147.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 51,000 registered bed nights (+7.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,500 (+7.7 %) for foreigners in Sölvesborg, in total 55,500 (+7.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 7.1 million registered bed nights (+7.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.0 million nights (+8.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.1 million nights (+5.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sölvesborg out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased 10 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 10 percent compared to earlier year. In Sölvesborg, length of stay in June was on average 3.0 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (+4.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sölvesborg on average 3.1 nights (-4.6 %) and foreigners 2.3 nights (+10.8 %).

9,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased five percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 88.3 percent were domestic, and 11.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sölvesborg on average 3.1 nights (+0.3) and foreigners 2.3 nights (+0.11).
