Paid bed nights

24,300 registered bed nights

In August 2019, 24,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Sölvesborg (-20.7 %), of which 22,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 17 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 47 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 21 percent from last year's August.

570 rooms (+39.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 420 rooms (+93.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 121,000 registered bed nights (+2.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 11,900 (-13.9 %) for foreigners in Sölvesborg, in total 133,000 (+0.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 8.9 million registered bed nights (+3.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 6.1 million nights (+4.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.8 million nights (+3.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sölvesborg out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased one percent compared to earlier year. In Sölvesborg, length of stay in August was on average 2.6 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (+0.4 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sölvesborg on average 2.7 nights (-3.0 %) and foreigners 1.9 nights (+5.5 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 20 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.2 percent were domestic, and 10.8 percent were from foreign countries.
