Paid bed nights

49,900 registered bed nights

In July 2020, 49,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Sölvesborg (-5.9 %), of which 49,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 670 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased four percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 88 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased six percent from last year's July.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (310 nights).

1,600 rooms (+10.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 260 rooms (-51.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and July, 102,000 registered bed nights (+3.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,100 (-88.8 %) for foreigners in Sölvesborg, in total 103,000 (-4.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 9.4 million registered bed nights (-30.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 8.8 million nights (-5.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 551,000 nights (-86.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sölvesborg out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased seven percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased seven percent compared to earlier year. In Sölvesborg, length of stay in July was on average 3.1 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-0.2 %).

During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sölvesborg on average 3.1 nights (+33.8 %) and foreigners 2.9 nights (+4.1 %).

16,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 12 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.5 percent were domestic, and 1.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sölvesborg on average 3.1 nights (+0.13) and foreigners 2.9 nights (+0.44).
