Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 75 percent

In April 2022, 7,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Sölvesborg (+74.7 %), of which 7,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 340 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 69 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 470 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 75 percent from last year's April.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (89 nights).

500 rooms (+204.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 430 rooms (+44.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 18,100 registered bed nights (+45.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 700 (+367.8 %) for foreigners in Sölvesborg, in total 18,800 (+49.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.2 million registered bed nights (+64.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+46.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 791,000 nights (+260.6 %) by foreigners.

Length of stay increased two percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased two percent compared to earlier year. In Sölvesborg, length of stay in April was on average 2.7 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-23.8 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sölvesborg on average 2.7 nights (+6.0 %) and foreigners 2.8 nights (+22.3 %).

2,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 71 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.6 percent were domestic, and 4.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sölvesborg on average 2.7 nights (+0.05) and foreigners 2.8 nights (+0.52).
