Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 19 percent

In June 2022, 24,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Sölvesborg (+18.9 %), of which 22,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 13 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 300 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 19 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (760 nights).

1,000 rooms (+103.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 460 rooms (+227.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 57,000 registered bed nights (+17.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,900 (+263.4 %) for foreigners in Sölvesborg, in total 59,900 (+21.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 6.9 million registered bed nights (+39.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.2 million nights (+17.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.6 million nights (+259.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sölvesborg out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 2.5 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased nine percent compared to earlier year. In Sölvesborg, length of stay in June was on average 2.5 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-13.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sölvesborg on average 2.5 nights (-4.7 %) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-3.0 %).

9,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 31 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.1 percent were domestic, and 7.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sölvesborg on average 2.5 nights (-0.24) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-0.11).
