3,800 registered bed nights

In September 2020, 3,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Sorsele (-6.0 %), of which 3,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 580 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased two percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 22 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased six percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (230 nights).

400 rooms (-0.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 500 rooms (-2.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 27,700 registered bed nights (-7.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,300 (-56.7 %) for foreigners in Sorsele, in total 34,100 (-23.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-19.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 441,000 nights (-61.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sorsele out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

1,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased nine percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 85.9 percent were domestic, and 14.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sorsele on average 2.1 nights (-0.47) and foreigners 2.4 nights (+0.21).
