Registered bed nights increased 36 percent

In April 2021, 3,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Sorsele (+35.7 %), of which 3,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 129 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 33 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 270 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 36 percent from last year's April.

360 rooms (+552.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 185 rooms (+9.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 12,900 registered bed nights (+1.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 870 (-72.0 %) for foreigners in Sorsele, in total 13,700 (-12.8 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.2 percent

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+90.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sorsele out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

1,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 42 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.2 percent were domestic, and 0.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sorsele on average 3.0 nights (-0.2) and foreigners 13 nights (+7.1).
