Sorsele: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased 44 percent
In May 2022, 2,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Sorsele (+43.8 %), of which 1,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 830 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 260 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 44 percent from last year's May.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (250 nights).
175 rooms (+36.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 260 rooms (+87.2 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 14,500 registered bed nights (+3.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,200 (+284.3 %) for foreigners in Sorsele, in total 18,800 (+23.7 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 95 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 53.6 percent were domestic, and 46.4 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sorsele on average 2.6 nights (-0.47) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-1.6).
