Registered bed nights increased 38 percent
In September 2021, 5,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Sorsele (+37.5 %), of which 4,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 26 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 100 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 38 percent from last year's September.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (350 nights).
460 rooms (+13.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 510 rooms (+1.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and September, 34,600 registered bed nights (+24.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 9,800 (+55.6 %) for foreigners in Sorsele, in total 44,400 (+30.4 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 40 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 79.8 percent were domestic, and 20.2 percent were from foreign countries.
During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sorsele on average 2.1 nights (-0.07) and foreigners 2.4 nights (-0.02).
