4,400 registered bed nights

In March 2020, 4,400 bed nights were recorded in Sorsele (-13.7 %), of which 3,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 730 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 18 percent and foreign bed nights increased 14 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 14 percent from last year's March.

200 rooms (-67.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 750 rooms (+22.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 9,800 bed nights (+0.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,100 (+12.0 %) for foreigners in Sorsele, in total 12,900 (+2.9 %) nights.

Total of 2.8 million bed nights (-37.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.4 million nights (-33.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 405,000 nights (-54.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sorsele out of total bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

1,300 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 19 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 85.3 percent were domestic, and 14.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sorsele on average 3.3 nights (+0.17) and foreigners 3.9 nights (+0.45).
