Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased two percent

In September 2018, 4,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Sorsele (+2.2 %), of which 3,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 630 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased less than one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 14 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased two percent from last year's September.

158 rooms (-21.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 580 rooms (+42.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 31,500 registered bed nights (-13.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 12,700 (-10.3 %) for foreigners in Sorsele, in total 44,200 (-12.4 %) registered nights.

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased four percent compared to earlier year. In Sorsele, length of stay in September was on average 4.2 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (+0.8 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sorsele on average 4.4 nights (+17.6 %) and foreigners 3.3 nights (+1.5 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased six percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 82.0 percent were domestic, and 18.0 percent were from foreign countries.
