Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased one percent

In December 2018, 1,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Sorsele (+1.1 %), of which 1,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 76 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased less than one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 43 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased one percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (38 nights).

76 rooms (+98.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 210 rooms (+3.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 37,400 registered bed nights (-9.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 12,900 (-9.7 %) for foreigners in Sorsele, in total 50,300 (-9.8 %) registered nights.

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 18 percent compared to earlier year. In Sorsele, length of stay in December was on average 6.6 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (-0.1 %).

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sorsele on average 6.5 nights (+14.1 %) and foreigners 9.5 nights (+1.4 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 14 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.1 percent were domestic, and 2.9 percent were from foreign countries.
