Sotenäs: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased 17 percent
In May 2022, 32,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Sotenäs (+16.8 %), of which 29,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased seven percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 400 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 17 percent from last year's May.
3,600 rooms (+25.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,200 rooms (+153.8 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 65,200 registered bed nights (+39.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 7,200 (+332.4 %) for foreigners in Sotenäs, in total 72,400 (+50.0 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

16,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 35 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.1 percent were domestic, and 10.9 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sotenäs on average 2.0 nights (-0.28) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-0.68).
