Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 73 percent

In April 2022, 18,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Sotenäs (+72.6 %), of which 15,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 56 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 380 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 73 percent from last year's April.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (2,000 nights).

3,000 rooms (+43.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,200 rooms (+82.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 36,200 registered bed nights (+84.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,900 (+288.1 %) for foreigners in Sotenäs, in total 40,100 (+94.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.2 million registered bed nights (+64.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+46.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 791,000 nights (+260.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sotenäs out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay increased two percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased two percent compared to earlier year. In Sotenäs, length of stay in April was on average 2.0 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-23.8 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sotenäs on average 2.0 nights (+17.8 %) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-37.9 %).

9,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 69 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.2 percent were domestic, and 13.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sotenäs on average 2.0 nights (+0.08) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-1.4).
