Registered bed nights increased two percent (July)
In July 2023, 87,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Sotkamo (+2.0 %), of which 86,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased two percent and registered foreign bed nights increased one percent. In total, registered bed nights increased two percent from last year's July.
80,100 nights (-0.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 7,500 nights (+41.5 %) by business visitors.
Between January and July, 454,000 registered bed nights (+3.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 10,700 (-42.6 %) for foreigners in Sotkamo, in total 465,000 (+1.2 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.
