Registered bed nights increased five percent
In April 2022, 59,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Sotkamo (+4.5 %), of which 57,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 152 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased five percent from last year's April.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from China (1,400 nights).
54,800 nights (+4.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 4,600 nights (+8.7 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 262,000 registered bed nights (+6.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 13,500 (+39.5 %) for foreigners in Sotkamo, in total 276,000 (+7.5 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.
