Registered bed nights increased seven percent (November)
In November 2019, 42,000 bed nights were recorded in South Ostrobothnia (+7.2 %), of which 39,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,100 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased eight percent and foreign bed nights decreased nine percent. In total, bed nights increased seven percent from last year's November.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Estonia (310 nights).
Between January and November, 660,000 bed nights (+1.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 44,000 (+40.9 %) for foreigners in South Ostrobothnia, in total 704,000 (+3.4 %) nights.
25,300 nights (+9.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 16,600 nights (+4.0 %) by business visitors.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Market share 2.7 percent (November)
Total of 1.6 million bed nights (+4.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.1 million nights (+5.5 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 453,000 nights (+3.4 %) by foreigners.
The market share of South Ostrobothnia out of total bed nights was 2.7 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 3.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.
26,300 tourists arrived to accommodation (November)
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 13 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 97.4 percent were domestic, and 2.6 percent were from foreign countries.
During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in South Ostrobothnia on average 1.6 nights (-0.09) and foreigners 3.0 nights (+0.07).

Registered accommodation sales in November were 2.2 million euro (+263,000).
Registered January-November sales were 30.2 million euro and they increased 1.5 million euro from the previous year.
