54,900 registered bed nights
In September 2020, 54,900 registered bed nights were recorded in South Ostrobothnia (-14.1 %), of which 49,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased four percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 54 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 14 percent from last year's September.
38,600 nights (+5.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 16,300 nights (-40.1 %) by business visitors.
Between January and September, 490,000 registered bed nights (-18.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 15,700 (-59.1 %) for foreigners in South Ostrobothnia, in total 506,000 (-21.1 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased eight percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.2 percent were domestic, and 1.8 percent were from foreign countries.
During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in South Ostrobothnia on average 1.7 nights (+0.01) and foreigners 11 nights (+3.4).
