67,900 registered bed nights

In November 2020, 67,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Stavanger Region (-50.4 %), of which 54,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 13,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 51 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 46 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 50 percent from last year's November.

23,000 nights (-48.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 40,900 nights (-38.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and November, 978,000 registered bed nights (-15.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 168,000 (-61.5 %) for foreigners in Stavanger Region, in total 1.1 million (-28.3 %) registered nights.

Market share 7.9 percent

Total of 861,000 registered bed nights (-56.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 751,000 nights (-54.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 111,000 nights (-67.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Stavanger Region out of total registered bed nights was 7.9 % (+1.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 7.3 % and foreign bed nights 11.8 %.

Length of stay increased six percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased six percent compared to earlier year. In Stavanger Region, length of stay in November was on average 2.1 nights and in Norway 2.4 nights (+37.9 %).

During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Stavanger Region on average 1.9 nights (+6.8 %) and foreigners 3.0 nights (+24.1 %).

32,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 53 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.6 percent were domestic, and 13.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Stavanger Region on average 1.9 nights (+0.09) and foreigners 3.0 nights (+0.28).
