58,800 registered bed nights

In February 2021, 58,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Stavanger Region (-40.4 %), of which 48,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 10,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 41 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 39 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 40 percent from last year's February.

14,900 nights (-59.4 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 33,800 nights (-30.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 91,500 registered bed nights (-44.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 26,900 (-27.2 %) for foreigners in Stavanger Region, in total 118,000 (-41.5 %) registered nights.

Market share 6.4 percent

Total of 923,000 registered bed nights (-58.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 836,000 nights (-46.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 87,600 nights (-86.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Stavanger Region out of total registered bed nights was 6.4 % (+1.9 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 5.8 % and foreign bed nights 12.1 %.

Length of stay increased 12 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 12 percent compared to earlier year. In Stavanger Region, length of stay in February was on average 2.0 nights and in Norway 2.6 nights (+31.2 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Stavanger Region on average 1.9 nights (+25.1 %) and foreigners 2.3 nights (+39.0 %).

29,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 47 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 84.4 percent were domestic, and 15.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Stavanger Region on average 1.9 nights (+0.2) and foreigners 2.3 nights (+0.3).
