Registered bed nights increased 75 percent
In December 2021, 5,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Stenungsund (+75.1 %), of which 4,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 560 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 65 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 250 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 75 percent from last year's December.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (136 nights).
1,600 rooms (+13.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,600 rooms (+373.7 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 101,000 registered bed nights (+16.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 10,400 (+113.6 %) for foreigners in Stenungsund, in total 111,000 (+21.9 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 146 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.8 percent were domestic, and 6.2 percent were from foreign countries.
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Stenungsund on average 1.3 nights (-0.57) and foreigners 2.5 nights (-2.0).
