Stenungsund: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased 85 percent
In May 2022, 11,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Stenungsund (+85.1 %), of which 10,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 68 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 640 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 85 percent from last year's May.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (480 nights).
2,100 rooms (-3.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,800 rooms (+496.8 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 30,400 registered bed nights (+74.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,300 (+310.7 %) for foreigners in Stenungsund, in total 33,800 (+84.5 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 71 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.4 percent were domestic, and 10.6 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Stenungsund on average 1.7 nights (+0.12) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-0.33).
