Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 12 percent

In September 2019, 8,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Stenungsund (+11.6 %), of which 7,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 590 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 16 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 25 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 12 percent from last year's September.

1,900 rooms (-3.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,000 rooms (+43.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 86,100 registered bed nights were recorded for domestic visitors and 16,800 for foreigners in Stenungsund, in total 103,000 registered nights.

Total of 4.5 million registered bed nights (+2.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+3.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights (-1.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Stenungsund out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased six percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased six percent compared to earlier year. In Stenungsund, length of stay in September was on average 1.5 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-1.3 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Stenungsund on average 1.4 nights and foreigners 2.0 nights .

5,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased six percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.6 percent were domestic, and 5.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Stenungsund on average 1.4 nights (+0.12) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-0.4).
