Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 31 percent

In February 2020, 6,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Stenungsund (+31.4 %), of which 5,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 560 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 32 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 28 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 31 percent from last year's February.

2,700 rooms (+40.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,300 rooms (+8.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 11,700 registered bed nights (+30.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 990 (-24.4 %) for foreigners in Stenungsund, in total 12,700 (+23.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.4 million registered bed nights (+3.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.5 million nights (+5.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 935,000 nights (-2.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Stenungsund out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased four percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased four percent compared to earlier year. In Stenungsund, length of stay in February was on average 1.3 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-3.1 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Stenungsund on average 1.2 nights (+3.1 %) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+4.0 %).

5,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 27 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.8 percent were domestic, and 5.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Stenungsund on average 1.2 nights (+0.04) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+0.25).
